Loma Linda University School of Allied Health Professions offers basic science college level courses for students preparing to enter into one of our healthcare related programs. These courses are offered on the Loma Linda campus.
Basic science course sequences: (Courses must be taken in sequence) Click on the following links for course information PDFs
These course sequences are accepted prerequisites for allied health, nursing, and public health programs at Loma Linda University and are transferable to other colleges and institutions.
Because of space limitations, priority enrollment is given to students who are planning to pursue a degree program at Loma Linda University. Others will be accommodated pending space availability. These courses are extremely popular and you are encouraged to apply early!
Courses are taught by highly qualified LLU faculty with years of experience in preparing students for careers in various health-related professions. Taking introductory basic science courses is a great way to prepare for future courses taught within our health-related degree programs by some of the same professors.
Courses are taught in the evenings for the convenience of working professionals who want to further their education.

Some courses require prerequisites such as high school algebra (Chemistry) or a college-level chemistry course (Microbiology).
$215.00 tuition per non-block unit.
Example $215.00 x 4 unit course = $860.00 per quarter. (tuition only)
A fee of $42.95 is required for a Background Check for all students. The student will be asked to complete this process online at the time of registration. A credit card in the students name will expedite the process. Contact the University Admissions department for more information.
A lab fee of $75.00 is required for the Microbiology course.
Additional course and lab fees may apply.
