From the time the Emergency Medical Care Program accepted its first class in 1993, we have continually updated and improved our coursework to meet the changes in health care and the needs of our students. The curriculum not only focuses on knowledge in clinical care but also encompasses critical skills in leadership, management, communication, education, and research. Our program is designed for existing health-care providers--EMTs, paramedics, nurses, and respiratory therapists--with our classes scheduled on one day of the week to accommodate those who are working professionals.
