Many of the events during the 18th Annual School of Allied Health Professions Alumni Homecoming Weekend & Continuing Education Convention will take place on the Loma Linda University Campus. All continuing education courses will on be campus, though in different locations. Please read carefully through the Directions/Parking section. Loma Linda University is located about 60 miles east of Los Angeles, about 20 miles east of Ontario off Interstate 10, and 10 miles north of Riverside off Interstate 215, in the city of Loma Linda.
Loma Linda University (LLU) is a Seventh-day Adventist educational health-sciences institution with more than 4,000 students located in Southern California. Eight schools and the Faculty of Graduate Studies comprise the University organization. More than 200 programs are offered by the schools of Allied Health Professions, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, Religion and Science and Technology. Curricula offered range from certificates of completion and associate in science degrees to doctor of philosophy and clinical doctoral degrees. Students from more than 80 countries around the world and virtually every state in the nation are represented in Loma Linda University's student body. LLU also offers distance education.
The School of Allied Health Professions (formerly named School of Health Related Professions) was established in 1966 with the consolidation of several programs at Loma Linda University (medical technology, physical therapy, medical radiography, occupational therapy and health information management). Since 1970, new curricula has been added to form additional programs.
