Program Accreditation Information

The entry-level Master of Occupational Therapy Program was recently re-accredited in May 2013, with a full ten year accreditation status through May 2023.  The program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE), ACOTE c/o Accreditation Department, American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) 4720 Montgomery Lane Suite 200 Bethesda, MD 20814-3449, (301) 652-2682 (301) 652-2682.  www.acoteonline.org

Graduates of the MOT programs will be able to take the national certification examination for occupational therapists administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). After successful completion of this examination, the individual will be an occupational therapist, registered (OTR).

NBCOT Exam Pass Rates 2010-2012

The total number of graduates who passed the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification examination as first-time takers in 2010 – 2012 was 73 out of 92, which is a pass rate of 80%.   During that three-year period, the program had 95 graduates.
