How to apply to the Communication Science and Disorders programs at Loma Linda University, School of Allied Health Professions. This department includes the Speech and Language Pathology degrees.

Admissions Information

For the Bachelor of Science program

  • 96 quarter units or 64 semester units in general education.  See Requirements 
  • Provide official transcripts from an accredited institution.
  • Literate personal statement (part of the online application)
  • Three letters of recommendation, preferably academic. (part of the online application)
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.  

For the Transitional Master of Science program

  • Bachelor's degree in a profession other than speech language pathology or communication sciences and disorders.
  • Literate personal statement (part of the online application)
  • Three letters of recommendation, preferably academic. (part of the online application)
  • Minimum GPA of 3.3.
  • Students are required to take the California Basic Education Skills Test (CBEST) within the first year of study.

For the Master of Science program

  • Bachelor's degree in speech language pathology or communication sciences and disorders.
  • Literate personal statement (part of the online application)
  • Three letters of recommendation, preferably academic. (part of the online application)
  • Minimum GPA of 3.3.
  • Interview and writing sample (at time of interview)
  • Students are required to take the California Basic Education Skills Test (CBEST) within the first quarter of study.


    The GRE Exam is no longer a requirement for the Master of Science or Transitional Master's programs.
