Welcome from the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Announcing our new identity:  Our new name is the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Welcome

Welcome to the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. The department faculty members are excited to share their interests and expertise with you.

Can you imagine what life would be without the ability to comprehend, formulate, or express any feelings or thoughts? Can you also imagine how satisfying it would be if you could help restore someone's communication abilities?

If you have an inquisitive mind and an interest in people, we think you will love what speech- language pathology has to offer. We invite you to check out our programs.

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders offers a Bachelor of Science degree for those who are ready to start the junior year of college. The two-year program (which begins the junior year of college) prepares students to pursue a graduate degree in speech-language pathology, audiology, or other related fields.

The Department also offers a Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.  This two-year program is for students who completed a bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders or speech-language pathology. This program prepares students to become licensed, credentialed, and certified clinicians to work in clinics, hospitals, public schools, or private practices.

Students who completed a bachelors degree in another field, may apply to the Master of Science- Transitional program. This is a three-year program that provides prerequisite courses.  This programs prepares students to become licensed, credentialed, and certified clinicians to work in clinics, hospitals, public schools, or private practices.

Thank you for your interest,
