Interests & Research:

I am a Medical Family Therapist and consider my research to be an extension of my clinical work and strive to be involved in projects that make a meaningful impact on patients, family members, and medical professionals. My research interests include issues related to palliative and end-of-life issues for adult and pediatric patients, their family members, clinicians, and health systems; patient/clinician communication and relationship quality; and application of family therapy concepts to the field of Medical Family Therapy. Special interests include program evaluation and development, qualitative and mixed methods research, and narrative approaches to biopsychosocial issues.
