On October 23, 2013, 22 Japanese students from Osaka Jikei College in Osaka, Japan journeyed to the United States to visit the Department of Social Work & Social Ecology in the School of Behavioral Health. A 3-day itinerary was prepared for the Osaka Jikei students in advance and included LLU faculty presenting on topics such as “History of American Social Work, Current Issues, Scope of Practice”, “Gerontology and Hospice Care in the U.S.”, and “Social Work Education in the U.S.”
Psychology Students Display Research Findings at 43rd Annual Meeting of the Society for Neuroscience
At the 43rd Annual Meeting of the Society for Neuroscience (November 9-13, 2013), four students and one Ph.D. graduate of the Department of Psychology in the School of Behavioral Health were invited to display their research findings. Held this year in San Diego, CA, students Shina Halavi, John Bellone, Michael Finlay, Nikita Mistry and Melissa Dulcich, Ph.D., formally submitted their posters for consideration in the spring of 2013 and were accepted for display during the annual meeting.
