Clinical Interests
Dr. Jenkins' clinical interests are in the domain of medical/clinical health psychology. His emphasis is on primary care and consultation to interdisciplinary healthcare providers. He applies the biopsychosocial-spiritual approach to patient care, and particulary enjoys working with individuals with combined physical and psychological problems. Special study and attention is given to the cultural aspects in healthcare. He trains and supervises psychology students across several medical services. He brings 20-plus years of experience to the medical/clinical health psychology sphere.
Teaching Interests
Dr. Jenkins teaches Ethics and Legal Issues in Clinical Psychology, PSY 526.
Community Outreach and Consultation
Dr. Jenkins provides community outreach services to a variety of high-risk populations, including individuals facing post-incarceration adjustment. He also provides consultation to residential treatment facilities in the community.
