Mind/Body Clinic

The Mind/Body Clinic is a specialty clinic that is founded on the biopsychosocial model of health and dedicated to integrated mental health care. The focus of the clinic is on the whole person with the goal being to optimize functioning and improve adjustment to chronic illness.

The Mind/Body Clinic provides psychotherapy that addresses the relationship between the emotional processes of the client and the body. Psychotherapy at the Mind/Body Clinic enhances somatic awareness and thus facilitates positive change. Through helping the client develop greater awareness of his or her body, hidden feelings and memories can surface, freeing the client from old patterns and negative energy, which may impede one’s ability to live life to the fullest. The body often holds memories that the conscious mind is unaware of. Mind/Body therapy is ideal for treating a variety of psychological disorders as well as physical diseases.
