Thanks for visiting the CAPS Webpage! I am very excited about sharing opportunities with you on how to get involved in the community. I received a Master's in Public Health from LLU and a BA in Spanish Language and Culture from Walla Walla College. I have worked with a variety of community-based children’s programs ranging from a weekly outreach program for children in San Bernardino to an Outdoor Adventure Therapy program in Rwanda. In addition I have explored the local area for several years.
I am passionate about addressing health disparities from a holistic approach and value each moment I spend with students and community members through our LLU community engagement programs. I am eager to see these programs grow. Let’s work together to be the change we want to see in the world!

Hello! My name is Cynthia Ortega, and I am currently the CKC Saturday Coordinator. My focus is to get students and people from the community involved in being part of the children's program, which will inspire creativity, a love for God and their families, and simply having fun.
I am a global health major in the School of Public Health. Made in Peru and grown in south Orange County, I am blessed with a loving family that has supported my dreams of working in the health care field. I graduated from UC Irvine with a bachelor's in biology and have a dream of becoming a physician that serves the Latino community. I am passionate about helping people serve others and bringing God's hope to everyone in my life journey.
