Community Parents Connection:

Loving families in our community

The families in our community are what keep the environment and inspiration flowing. Loma Linda University has programs to support families such as tutoring, mentorship, and outdoor activities in which everyone from the community is invited to attend. The Community Parents Connection (CPC) is a resource and collaboration of the community to support parents with communication of LLU programs and support around the community.

Purpose:

To maintain and encourage family involvement in CKC tutoring, Hope mentoring, and other volunteer programs. We also desire to support our community by providing community workshops for parents living in the city of San Bernardino.

When:
You can volunteer every Tuesday and Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Why?

  1. Because you want to see a loving and prospering community
  2. Because you want to share your talents and abilities with people in need
  3. Because you want to practice your Spanish
  4. Because you CAN make a difference for parents, children, and most of all, families!

How you can get involved

As a student, faculty, or staff member: Email or call the CAPS office and leave a message with your name, telephone number, department you are in, and also which day you would like to volunteer for and what workshop idea you might have.

As a community partner or alumni member: Please call the office to set up an appointment to meet and talk about proposed workshop. We also would like to get to know more about your organization/church/group.

Check out the Community Parents Connection Calendar for dates and information.
