The primary goal of SSCC is to provide whole person care for the uninsured residents of San Bernardino County by incorporating a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of health care. This clinic provides the patients with an inexpensive, evening clinic Thursday evenings that addresses general medical conditions and concerns. Currently, students from the Schools of Medicine and Pharmacy, with the assistance of Behavioral Health, are involved in the delivery of care. SSCC gives students the opportunity to have immediate, direct involvement in the delivery of health care by allowing them to provide patient care from start to finish. The immediate goals of the clinic are to increase the number of clinics/month and to incorporate students from additional schools.
