SÍ Se Puede introduces promising Hispanic/Latino High School students to careers in the Health Sciences. Our goal is to stimulate these students in the pursuit of an educational track specifically designed to prepare them for a professional career in the Health Sciences at Loma Linda University (LLU).

• Senior or junior high school student (priority to seniors).
• Good academic standing overall 2.5+ GPA (Include a transcript).
• High academic performance and interest in science and math courses.
• Letter of recommendation from teacher, employer, or pastor.
• Participation in leadership, school activities, and community services.
• Written essay describing yourself, your family, and your community.

Successful candidates will experience one week on the LLU campus and be provided with the following:

• Interactive learning environment highlighting the importance of patient care.
• Intro to the various components of health sciences research and laboratory studies with scientist.
• Participation and exposure to the medical center and patient care areas with health professionals.
• Active participation in a learning and study skills enhancement program.
• Social and spiritual activities coordinated by Loma Linda University faculty.
• Daily lunch, refreshments, and snacks.
• Candidates selected by the Faculty Selection Committee.
• Transportation to and from LLU must be provided by the candidates or coordinated by the sponsoring church.

!Sí Se Puede! Introducción al mundo de la Medicina, las Ciencias y la Salud Este programa educacional está diseñado para estimular a promisorios estudiantes hispanos a considerar carreras en las Ciencias de Salud en la Universidad de Loma Linda (LLU).

Ser alumno de tercer ó cuarto año de secundaria (prioridad a los de cuarto año).

Tener buen nivel académico GPA 2.5+ (incluya una copia de la transcripción de crédito escolar del año corriente).

Participación de liderazgo en la escuela, iglesia ó comunidad.

Enviar una carta de recomendación del pastor de su iglesia, profesor, o empleador.

Escribir un ensayo presentando una descripción de usted, su familia y su comunidad.
