To bring diversity and inclusion efforts closer to the students, Loma Linda University annually appoints a faculty member to serve as each School’s Diversity Chair. From deans to assistant professors, Diversity Chairs represent the full complement of leadership and dedication that exists on campus toward promoting an inclusive and welcoming environment for all students. These diversity leaders, in collaboration with the Office of Talent Management and Diversity and various other diversity committees (see below), provide the guidance, support, and appropriate accommodations when possible, that allow students to pursue their academic and professional goals openly and freely. We fully appreciate the rigors and pressures inherent in the pursuit of advanced and professional degrees, and want to ensure that students are free of any concern that takes their attention away from such pursuit. Diversity Committees

Diversity Steering Committee
The Diversity Steering Committee is composed of the diversity chairs from each school. This committee meets annually to plan upcoming special diversity events, collaborate on diversity initiatives, monitor progress in enrollment and retention activities, identify focus areas, and provide feedback to LLU’s President and other senior officers.

Diversity Loan Committee
The Diversity Loan Committee meets quarterly. It is co-chaired by the University’s Chief Diversity Officer and Student Financial Aid Officer, and comprised of each school finance officer . The purpose of each meeting is to review applications and make decisions for financial assistance and to make decisions regarding the Diversity Loan Fund.
