Use a supported browser

The following browsers are supported:

  • Windows XP SP2:
    • Internet Explorer 6

  • Windows 2000:
    • Internet Explorer 6
    • Internet Explorer 7
    • Firefox 1.0

  • Mac OS 9:
    • Internet Explorer 5.1.7
If you're using Microsoft Internet Explorer, you can check your version by going to Help ArrowsAbout Internet Explorer.

Turn cookies on


If you're using Netscape, you can check this by going to Edit ArrowsPreferences ArrowsAdvanced.

If you're using Microsoft Internet Explorer, you can check this by going to Tools ArrowsInternet Options ArrowsSecurity ArrowsCustomize Level Arrowsscroll down to "Cookies."

Turn pop-up blockers off

How this is done depends on your pop-up blocker.

Turn ssl on

In Internet Explorer, you can do this by going to Tools --> Internet options --> Advanced --> Security --> check "Use SSL 2.0" and "Use SSL 3.0".

Clear your cache and/or cookies

In some cases people have problems when their browser shows them a cached web page instead of the correct web page. If you continue to have problems, try clearing your disk cache, memory cache, and cookies.

In Internet Explorer, you can do this by going to Tools --> Internet options --> Temporary Internet Files --> (a) Delete Files... and (b) Delete Cookies...

(1) What OS are you using? Windows? Macintosh? Other? What version?

(2) What browser are you using? Internet Explorer? Netscape? Other? What version?

(3) Go to http://www.llu.edu/central/ssweb/index.page. Do you get the "Student Services" page?

(4) From there click on "Login." Do you get a login page? If not, what do you see? Please tell us the specific error you get.

(6) If you get this far ok, enter your SSN and PIN and press Login. If you get an error, please tell us the specific error you get.
