| SYNOPSIS |
Clinicians frequently encounter poorly performed root canals that are failing and need to be retreated surgically or non-surgically. Integration of new technologies in endodontics and implant dentistry has led to precise and predictable techniques to treat the vast majority of these cases successfully. The purpose of this two-day course is to present various procedures for treatment of poorly performed root canal treatments. Lectures for the first day will include non-surgical re-treatment, endodontic surgery, immediate implant placement in the esthetic zone and outcomes of these procedures. Live non-surgical and surgical demonstrations for the second day will include removal of canal obstructions such as obturation materials, posts and cores, retrieval of broken instruments, posterior endodontic surgeries as well as single tooth implants in real time. The audience will have an opportunity to ask clinicians who are performing these procedures questions during these interactive demonstrations.
