| SYNOPSIS |
When non-healing occurs following initial root canal treatments, the treatment options include nonsurgical retreatment, periapical surgery, extraction, and in selected cases single tooth implants. Integration of new art and science in endodontics and implant dentistry has led to precise and predictable techniques to treat the vast majority of these cases successfully. The purpose of this two-day course is to present various treatment options for non-healing root canal treatments.
Lectures for the first day will include non-surgical re-treatment, endodontic surgery, immediate implant placement in the esthetic zone and factors affecting treatment planning for these procedures. Live and unedited demonstrations in the second day of this course will include removal of canal obstructions such as obturation materials, posts and cores, retrieval of broken instruments, mandibular and maxillary molar surgeries as well as single tooth implants. The participants will have an opportunity to ask clinicians questions during these interactive demonstrations. |
