The Center for Dental Research (CDR) was established in 1999 with the following missions:
The CDR is composed of the following three laboratories, three cores and an office:
Each laboratory or core is well equipped and adequately staffed, currently with two Professors, Three Associate Professors and one Assistant Professor, who have extensive research experience and highly respected in their individual fields.
The CDR is active in national and international collaborative research as well as with investigators in other departments of Loma Linda University.
The American Association for Dental Research (AADR) and National Student Research Group (NSRG) at Loma Linda University have been established to better facilitate opportunites for those students interested in research in areas of oral health care/crainoficial biology. The chapter envisions that all students with the desire to be involved in one of the many research opportunities offered can be assisted in finding a mentor, joining an existing research project or starting a new research project of their own. See our website for more information.
The CDR Office provides assistance and support to faculty and student research. The CDR Director is Yiming Li, DDS, MSD, PhD. In addition, there is a seven-member CDR Board of Directors that meets quarterly to review policies, evaluate performance and define strategic plans for the CDR.
