Giving Opportunities - Naming Gift Options
The School of Dentistry is pleased to offer opportunities for naming endowed funds and areas within the School, perpetuating the donor's name or the names of others to be honored or memorialized through special gift support.
Named endowment scholarships or endowed funds may be initiated with gifts of $10,000 or more. However, University guidelines stipulate that such a fund must reach a minimum of $25,000 within a reasonable time period.
Throughout the School there are opportunities for naming existing rooms or areas with special gifts. While each of these is handled on a case-by-case basis, the emphasis is on generation of unrestricted and endowment funds. In some cases, part of the gift may be used for remodeling or refurbishing the area. The minimum level of funding is generally $25,000 or more, depending on the area to be named, with gifts in cash or liquid assets, which can be utilized in a timely manner.
