AMD Lasers names LLUSD alumnus medical director
AMD Lasers of Indianapolis, Indiana, announced in November that James Jesse, SD’73, LLUSD assistant professor, Department of Restorative Dentistry, and industry leading dental laser expert, has accepted the position of Medical Director. In his new role, Dr. Jesse will be responsible for overseeing research and development of new soft and hard tissue dental lasers, standards and compliance for continuing education credits, authoring articles for related peer review and trade publications, and lecturing and seminar engagements.

“We are very fortunate to have a dentistry icon like Dr. Jesse leading our medical team. For years, I have worked with him and clearly, his expertise is perfectly suited to guide us in expanding our line of dental lasers to the highest level,” stated Alan Miller, president and CEO of AMD Lasers.
Dr. Jesse has been a clinical laser researcher since 1983 and says he “can appreciate what AMD Lasers has done to make Picasso an extremely high quality diode laser that is affordable enough for every dental practice. I am delighted to have the opportunity to be associated with this young and upcoming industry brand.”
In addition to his LLUSD appointment and private practice in Colton, California, Dr. Jesse is assistant professor of Restorative Dentistry at Columbia University, and is clinic instructor and director with the Masters of Laser Dentistry Training Program.
