Eleven classmates from the dental hygiene class of 1980 attended the alumni student convention weekend activities beginning with the hygiene luncheon on Friday at the San Bernardino Hilton. Darice Lang presented a 20 year overview of our lives. Dr. Jill Webster-Kerbs traveled from the Columbus, Ohio area, Lynn Rue came south from Washington state, and Natalie Jutzy braved the winter weather all the way from Bozeman, Montana.
We all marveled at how the only male class member, Dr. Steve Vergara, had not aged a bit!
Our class reunion on Saturday evening was hosted by Jerry and Shelley Slater in their lovely Redlands home. A catered English Tea complete with finger tidbits, scones, and petite fours were served. Delicious! Reminiscing and sharing family events continued for hours until farewells were said and plans made to meet again at the 25-year reunion.
A special class donation was made to sponsor a seat (#80) in the renovated amphitheater in memory of Jan Nixon-Schunk and Peggy Richards Tan.
