SYNOPSIS

This updated DVD-ROM program presents the scientific principles and clinical procedures that optimize success when preparing teeth for complete and partial coverage crowns. The presentation focuses on the important factors related to tooth preparation. To enhance viewer involvement, the information regarding principles and procedures is accompanied by synchronous audio and video presentations that focus attention upon the key factors being presented. There are multiple animations and several hundred digital images of prepared teeth. Videos illustrate the steps in a tooth preparation and as well as impression making and fabrication of a provisional restoration. The program is interactive and navigable. A self-assessment examination is included so viewers can evaluate their level of scientific knowledge.
