Dean meets with alumni

Dr. and Mrs. Charles J. Goodacre met with alumni and their families from
the Central Coast area on June 27 at a dinner coordinated by Peter (SD'70)
and Suzanne (DH'68) Nelson at their home in San Luis Obispo.

Attending were Jack Sloan, SD'63; Delmer (SD'65) and Ellen Bond; Les and Carol (SD'75B) Phillips; John DeVincenzo, SD'64; Brent Hoxie, SD'97; James (SD'73) and Susie Hunt; John (SD'70) and Kim Eller; and Alan Latta, SD'96.
Others were Mel (SD'64) and Karen Sage; Larry (SD'65) and Linda Smith; Jeff (SD'84) and Jeri (SD'86) Shepherd; Ron (SD'75A) and Joy (DH'75) Chalker; Gil (SD'86) and Patty Carr; Byron Davis (SD'84); Robert Kitto, SD'84, and Barbara Bostwick, director of development.
The event drew alumni from San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Atascadero, Templeton, Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach and Santa Margarita.
Crown patients needed
The Center for Dental Research is conducting an Artglass single crown study.
I am requesting your assistance in helping us locate approximately 30-35 patients for a six-month study. It is our goal to have the patients enrolled and the crowns placed by the close of summer quarter 1999.
1. We are looking for single crowns in the posterior region.
2. We can enroll the patient with a maximum of 2 crowns.
3. The patient will receive a $100 reduction off the cost of each regular crown.
I would encourage faculty, students & staff participation. I trust you will assist the Center for Dental Research in the enrollment process for our present and soon too be future studies.

I just finished reading the article about the "School junk food burglar"-- I loved it! [July Dentalgram]
You must be proud, it is very good. Sometimes I wish I could have you here with me, I have to write so many compositions. Glad Lucinda came back [from Brazil]. I'm sure she has a lot of interesting things to tell all of you, and not to mention the pictures! Say Hi to everybody. I have very good memories about all of you in my mind. For the record, I still want hard copy of the Dentalgram. Sometimes there are things there that you want to keep and printing a copy from a department printer often does not have the same quality.
