Cross-cultural exchange opportunity available

From March 8 to April 1, 2001 we will have approximately 11 Russian dentists and two or three translators visiting the Inland Empire to observe practice management and business practices of U.S. dentists.

This highly successful þProductivity Enhancement Programú is sponsored by the Center for Citizens Initiative, a group in San Francisco partially funded by the U.S. State Department. Previous participants of this program have been guests in the Kremlin for conferences on the enhancement of private business in Russia, with tangible results.

The group of Russian dentists visiting our area is being hosted by the San Bernardino Crossroads Rotary Club where TCDS members Jud Klooster, Bill Heisler, and Milford Anholm are members. They will be visiting dental practices, LLU School of Dentistry, Chaffey College Dental Assisting Program, dental laboratories, and dental supply companies to learn how we organize and manage our dental practices.

How you can help As mentioned above, transportation to the United States and facilitator support for these visitors is provided. The dentists mentioned above are providing the technical planning.

However, accommodations for these guests are needed during their stay.
