Department news Administration Quint Nicola has been appointed associate director of the Health Ministries Department for the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Dr. Nicola will assume Dr. James Crawford’s role with the Church. In that capacity he will oversee the 76 mission dental clinics operated by the Church around the world.       Effective February 1, 2002, James M. Crawford, SD’60, MPH, associate dean, will cut back to working one day per week in the School doing special projects with Dr. Goodacre.         Educational Support Services Richard Cross, dental school photographer, was featured in a November 17, 2001, article in the Riverside Press-Enterprise. The article, titled “Showing how to be tolerant toward others,” chronicles the trip Mr. Cross took to northern Pakistan with Good Samaritan Ministries a year-and-a-half ago, and describes his friendships with the Pakastani people. It also highlights many positive experiences Mr. Cross had while there and how they continue to affect his outlook on life. Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Joseph M.
