Faculty and staff attend ‘Keeping Connected’

Faculty & staff
Faculty and staff gather for Keeping Connected, an informational meeting designed to promote communication within the School of Dentistry.

The second Keeping Connected meeting, attended by faculty and staff, was held Friday, November 22. The event was held from 1:05 to 2:00 p.m. in room 1102. The informational meeting included a question-and-answer discussion, announcements by dental clinics manager Mary Hartwell, and reports by Dr. James Crawford, Marina Moore, Kathleen Moore, and Marie Worcester.

Dr. Crawford provided an update about plans for the 50th anniversary celebration to be held next year.

Kathleen Moore presented an overview of the upcoming Alumni-Student Convention in February, and Marina Moore reported on the recent Quick Recovery User’s Meeting in Mississippi. The presentations were followed by discussion and dialogue on current issues in the School. Ms Worcester spoke about the new student bulletin boards that have been placed near the dental supply department.

Once a quarter the communications committee sponsors Keeping Connected events. The committee was formed as part of the School’s strategic planning goals to improve communication in the School. Committee members evaluate and implement ways to improve communication among faculty, students, staff, and alumni.
