Alumni pledged more than $144,000 to the 2000ø2001 Annual Fund campaign as the result of phonathon efforts during the fall of 2000. Projects to benefit from these gifts include student clerkships, personalized Bibles and lab coats for the students, the building campaign for the new addition to Prince Hall, a loan reimbursement program for new faculty, and Alumni Association activities. Participating in this year's phonathon were Ron Blank, SD'75A; Jack Booker, '60; Michael Boyko, '75A; Mark Carpenter, '90; Gary Chan, '89; Peter Chung, '76; Charles Cutting, '68; Bill Darwin, '81; Bill Emmerson, '80; Erin Estey, '98; Mark Estey, '98; Mike Ewert, '84; Ron Forde, '83; Floyd Hansen, '80; and Bruce Hasenauer, '77. Others included William Heisler, '59; Tres Hoffer, '96; Jim Giardina, '74; Gary Golden, '76; Charles J. Goodacre, '71; Mark Gorden, '76; Courtney Jackson, '91; James Jesse, '73; Bob Jung, '78; Dan Kunihira, '74; Richard Kunihira, '86; Mike Lee, '83; Erwin McDonald, '61; Hank Mercado, '77; and Terri Mitoma-Kunihira, '88. Also participating were Doyle Nick, '78; Quint Nicola, '69; Maynard Pogue, '94; Alfred Pragasam, '76; Daryl Proctor, '94; Susan Roche, '93; Tom Rogers, '83; Willis Schlenker, '57; Carl Seheult, '87; Bill Seibly, '59; Muna Soltan, '94; Tamarah Elloway-Song,'90; Pamela Stilson, '96; Mavern Suprono, '78; Tony Theodorou, '64; Duane Wacker, '64; and Larry Wong, '78. In addition, the Alumni Association retained the services of Weiser & Associates who called on their behalf to alumni who were not reached during their phonathon.
