Celebrating 50 years of service

Prince Hall is adorned with large banners marking the School’s 50th anniversary.

The School of Dentistry welcomed the first class of students in September, 1953, and this year the 42nd annual alumni student convention (February 6–10) kicks off the 50th year celebration that will last the whole year.
In addition to the many traditional events taking place during the alumni student convention, a number of special features this year will help make this a celebration worthy of the motto “Fifty years of service.” Highlights include the homecoming reception on Thursday afternoon; family day reception and student dedication, and re-dedication of Prince Hall on Friday; the brass festival on Sabbath afternoon; and the 50th anniversary commemorative celebration on Sunday evening.
