Robert Aronovitz, DDS, 1932–2002

Robert Aronovitz died November 9, 2002, of pancreatic cancer at his home in Riverside, California.

A native of Philadelphia, Dr. Aronovitz received his dental degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1958. He attended graduate school at Ohio State University and received his periodontal specialty certificate from the Wright Patterson USAF Hospital.

He served in the U.S. Air Force 22 years before he retired in 1980 with the rank of colonel. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and the Defense Meritorious Service Medal.

Dr. Aronovitz was a faculty member in the department of periodontics from 1972 to 2002.

Dr. Aronovitz is survived by his wife, Wilma; two daughters: Andrea Brown of Riverside and Marci Aronovitz of Los Angeles; a son, Larry, of San Carlos; three grandchildren; and a sister, Edith Leon, of Pennsylvania.
