Fifteen dentistry students from class of 2001 rewarded
for academic excellence
The School of Dentistry implemented an incentive system to reward students with exceptional performance on the National Board examinations. The incentive system for students with 90th percentile performance on either NBI or NBII includes the following: NBI: School pays fee for NBII Recognition at LLUSD faculty meeting Recognition in LLU Dentistry journal Recognition in LLUSD Dentalgram Press release to student's hometown newspaper NBII: School pays fee for California State Board Recognition at LLUSD faculty meeting Recognition in LLU Dentistry journal Recognition in LLUSD Dentalgram Press release to student's hometown newspaper Students who score at or above the 90th percentile on both examinations will receive a $1500 cash award and recognition on a "perpetual" plaque. All Academic Excellence awards are presented at the awards chapel and are listed in the commencement program.
