Pauline will be replacing Jennifer Pasta, who is moving to San Diego, and starting college in January. All sophomores are assigned a clinic coordinator. Clinic coordinators welcome the sophomore Class of 2002 to their group practice and to the main clinic. Welcome also to new employee Nancy Lentz, secretary in orthodontics. Oral diagnosis, radiology, pathology Dennis Clark, SD'83, professor of ODRP, a proud member of the newest ADA-recognized specialty of oral and maxillofacial radiology, begins a one year leave of absence this month. He has been a member of the department of oral diagnosis, radiology and pathology for the past 12 years. He will be returning to the School of Dentistry in January 2001. The department will greatly miss Dr. Clark personally as well as miss the expertise he brings to the department. We extend him best wishes and a safe return to LLU! Restorative dentistry The father of Bruce Walter, SD'73, passed away in late November. Our condolences in his loss. Joseph Kan, SD'90, MS'99, was promoted to associate professor of restorative dentistry. Dr. Kan did a one-day lecture in Guatemala in November, titled Anterior Implant Esthetics. Jenny Sy-Muñoz, DDS, MSD, was promoted to associate professor of restorative dentistry. Service learning Service learning welcomes Kelly Johnson. Kelly Horta became Mrs. Robert Johnson on October 30, and after a honeymoon in Paris (France), she transferred to Dr. Fred Kasischke's office. We know her students will miss her guidance as she coordinated their patient care activities. Drs. Ron Forde and Fred Kasischke appreciate having her support as she assists them in coordinating the service learning activities for the School. She can be reached at x87279, in room 5508.
