Ellis Jones recommends volunteering
The lobby of the dental school is a busy placeÜwith patients waiting to see their student dentists and hygienists, and a constant flow of visitors and patients who have never visited the school before. A warm welcome is given to all by Ellis Jones, a twice-retired employee who now volunteers. Mr. Jones was honored by the School in 2000, when he received the School's Distinguished Service Award. Not only does Mr. Jones answer questions and give directions; he also entertains patients and youngsters while they wait, often sharing toys with the children. A talented artist, Mr. Jones enjoys capturing the essence of the moment in humorous cartoons. Mr. Jones urges everyone to experience the satisfaction that comes through volunteering. University |
