Back by popular demandSam Horn, who presented the seminar ";Tongue
Fu! during last years AlumniStudent Convention. After
applying the easy-to-follow suggestions given by Ms. Horn during last
years seminar, participants have commented that they use the knowledge
and tools they gained on a daily basis, and that Ms. Horns suggestions
have improved their relationships both at work and at home.
This years session, ";Full TEAM Ahead! is based on the idea
that just because people work side-by-side doesnt mean theyre
operating as a team. A group must have seven specific characteristics
to function smoothly. This program identifies those characteristics and
outlines how to provide them so everyone works together more productively
and harmoniously. Included will be how to: persuade people to listen and
see each others point of view; coach (vs. criticize) performance
so everyone learns from their mistakes; focus on solutions (instead of
fault) when things go wrong; use verbal tips to diplomatically resolve
disagreements; practice time management tips so team members accomplish
more in less time; make everyone feel involved, informed, and appreciated;
keep difficult people from ruining your day; increase understanding with
two-way communication; develop positive group morale and the motivation
to give 100 percent.
Instructor Sam Horn, who has been called ";the female Dale Carnegie,
doesnt waste time on theories. She focuses on ";real-life
ideas that can be used immediately at work and at home, to get along better
with just about anyone, anytime, anywhere. Participants will walk out
with an action plan detailing how they intend to apply these ideas to
improve relationships on and off the job.
