Service learning in need of dental equipment
By Ron Forde
Dear Faculty Members,
As our Service Learning program continues to grow, especially our out-of-country
programs, there is also a growing need for dental instruments. We specifically
need more restorative supplies (pluggers, carvers, carriers) and surgical
instruments (forceps and elevators
even those with slightly chipped
tips).
So we are asking our dental faculty to check out those boxes you have
stashed away somewhere in your dental practice or in your garage, and
see if there might be some usable items our students can use.
Any other working dental equipment you can think of which we can use
will also be appreciated (e.g. used curing lights).
Also, if you have a buddy dentist or a partner who might be willing
to donate to us, please share this information with them.
If you can help, please remember that we are in the process of packing
supplies for trips next month, so the time is limited to get everything
together.
Thanks for your help in this exciting program.
