Dental family receive Master's degrees

In June 13 commencement services, the Graduate School and School of Allied
Health Professions of Loma Linda University awarded Masters degrees to
several students closely connected to the School of Dentistry.
The following graduate students received their Master of Science degrees
in dental specialties:
Jeffery C. Biggs, DDS, orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics;
Jeff S. Corbett, DDS, orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics;
Brent J. Hurst, DDS, orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics;
Mathew Kattadiyil, BDS, prosthodontics;
Vicky T. Nguyen, DDS, orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics;
Hyunsup Shim, DDS, orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics;
Douglas Snider, SD'83, endodontics;
Barton Soper, SD'95, orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.
Tricia Williams, SD'97, received a Master of Arts in biomedical
and clinical ethics.
In addition, Kathleen Moore, director of the Dental Alumni Association
and continuing education, received her Master of Health Information Systems
degree. She is completing her final class and an internship this summer,
but marched with the Class of 1999 on graduation day.
Grete Bakland earned her Master of Science in nursing. She is the
wife of Leif K. Bakland, SD'63, associate dean of advanced education in
the School of Dentistry, and professor and chair of endodontics.
