Dental hygiene dedication service and pinning ceremony held May 25

During the dedication service and pinning ceremony, the dental hygiene graduating class of 2001 paid tribute to their families by presenting them with long-stemmed roses. Here, members of the graduating class have just received their pins and are preparing to give the roses to their family members.

The dental hygiene dedication service and pinning ceremony was held Friday evening at Campus Hill Church. Graduating dental hygienists were given awards, and teachers and administrators were honored by the students, and graduates received a pin with the dental hygiene logo. During the program, the students paid tribute to their families with presentations of roses.

The following awards were given: Dean’s Award: Kari Anderson; Sigma Phi Alpha Honor Society Award: Kari Anderson, Heidi Burt, Allison Campbell, Soo Lee, Mitsuko Murata; Student of the Year Award: Marie Galarza; California Dental Hygienists’ Association Outstanding Leadership Award: Louise Davidson; Clinician’s Award: Allison Campbell; Klooster Humanitarian Award: Cori Thomas; Middleton Award: Alma Meza; Mitchell Award: Heidi Burt; Research Award: Allison Campbell, Alisa Moore, Elena Williams; Tri-County Dental Hygienists’ Society Award: Malulani Beale, Louise Davidson.
