School of Dentistry commencement

Clement, director, clinical services and assistant professor, ODRP (posthumously). Accepting the award are Mary Lou Clement and their son, Douglas S. Clement. Ronald P. Blank, SD’75A, associate professor, ODRP (right), receives the Teacher of the Year Award from Dr. Goodacre. Also pictured is Dr. Hart (center).
Dr. Charles J. Goodacre, SD’71, dean, addresses the audience during commencement ceremonies on May 27. Dr. Russell I. Webb, secretary, California Dental Association, presents the graduation address.
Dr. Behrens presents the School Distinguished Service Award to Trini Briano, housekeeping services. Dr. Goodacre (left), presents the School Distinguished Service Award to Jim Redfield, special projects, School of Dentistry.
During graduation ceremonies, 89 DDS degrees were awarded.

Cora B. Bell, president of the graduating class of dental hygienists, provides the response for graduates of dental hygiene. Jaleena Jessop, SD'02, is awarded her diploma by her father, Dan Fischer, SD'74. Parents were invited to present several diplomas and professional certificates.
After receiving his professional certificate in pediatric dentistry, Jeremy Wiggins, SD'00, reaches down to pick up his daughter, Eva. Following graduation, the School of Dentistry Alumni Association provided light refreshments.
