Dental hygiene students celebrate with banquet, pinning ceremony, and awards by Carmen Chavez and Jacqueline Tatum, DH'00 The dental hygiene Class of 2000 hosted the farewell banquet for the senior class at the Calimesa Country Club on May 13. The food was good and we had a great time taking pictures with our big sisters and brothers, our friends and instructors. Through laughter and tears, we shared memories of our times together and wished the seniors well in their futures. We said our goodbyes to Hildur Karadottir, RDH, an inspiring and wonderful instructor, and we wish her the best. She is returning to Europe to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She was honored with a standing ovation for her unconditional support of the dental hygiene students. The night ended with a candlelighting ceremony, as the seniors lit their little sister's and brother's candles. It was a wonderful night and we wish the seniors God's blessing in their personal and professional endeavors.
