Student conduct decisions,
January through December 2001
Accusation: Use of alcohol and making inappropriate
and harassing phone calls to students.
Action: Admitted making phone calls but without malicious intent.
Required to attend a four-day in-house evaluation at a treatment program
resulting in the following requirements: counseling and random body fluid
testing; citizenship probation until graduation.
Meeting held: No.
Accusation: Failure to be present in the clinic on two consecutive
days when the student had appointments with patients.
Action: Referral to Academic Review Committee for academic censure.
Student was judged to have been careless with record keeping and thus
the patients suffered. This occurrence should be treated as a professional
conduct issue, not an ethical violation.
Meeting held: No.
Accusation: Looking on another students paper during an examination.
It appeared to be cheating.
Action: It was determined that there was insufficient evidence
to support any violation of ethical conduct. It was, however, clear that
the student had not respected required behaviors of keeping eyes on ones
own paper. Warning was given that any further incident would be considered
as a second offense.
Meeting held: No.
