* Laura Erlandson, SD'95, assistant professor of restorative dentistry, was given a baby shower from the staff in restorative dentistry. She is planning to quit May 15 to have her baby and then will be moving to Wisconsin for a year while her husband, Greg Zimmerman, MD, does a fellowship in radiology. We hope she returns to LLU next year.

* Fred Berry, DDS, associate professor of restorative dentistry, was awarded fellowship in the Pierre Fauchard Academy.

The Academy is an international dental honors organization named after Pierre Fauchard, born in 1678, called the Father of Modern Dentistry. Membership is comprised of "those individuals who have made outstanding and meritorius contributions to the science and art of dentistry or to society."
Congratulations, Dr. Berry!

* On February 5, Cherylin Klooster Peach, daughter of Dr. Judson Klooster, dean emeritus, was in an automobile accident which resulted in very serious injuries. She had multiple skull fractures, broken ribs, broken pelvis, and severe head trauma. She has been in a coma since the accident, but has begun walking and speaking, and performing tasks required by her rehabilitation therapists. Dr. Klooster has kept a fascinating journal of Cherylin's physical progress.
