Dental publications

October 11 to 13, Nancy Yuen, editorial coordinator, attended the Society of Adventist Communicators (SAC) Conference in Ontario, California. Seminars and networking during the meetings provided valuable information that will enhance the School’s communication efforts in areas including submitting information to church publications, as well as working with printing companies; using Photoshop; and creating web pages. Ms. Yuen has also been elected as a member in the Public Relations Society of America.

Dental Educational Service

Frank Cortez Flores presented his study on disasters at the American Schools of Public Health environmental health conference: “Responding to a new environment: emergency response at schools of public health.” The conference was was held in September in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Melinda Gurley has joined data entry as a computer operator II, and replaces Gabriel Ramirez who transferred to the graduate orthodontic department.
