In memoriam

Jennifer & Lance Rader. Jennifer works in periodontics. Her husband, Lance, passed away earlier this year.

Lance Rader, husband to Jennifer Rader, RDH, department of periodontics and dental hygiene, passed away in early 2002. Mr. Rader worked as a computer manager in the IT department at the University of Redlands. He and Jennifer have one son, 11-year-old Joshua.

Although Mr. Rader had a successful career, his greatest achievement was giving his life to Christ. He had a strong love for Jesus, missionary work through Mission Aviation Fellowship, and his life reflected the love of the Creator of the Universe.

Jennifer penned the poem “Infinity Love” in memory of her husband.

Poem to my Lance: Infinity Love

How can I put into words how much I love you?
How can I express to the world what my heart says is true?
The ache for my soul’s love is beyond description
Even I, during the dark hours can not speak
But our love is not missing
It is not fleeting or diminishing
Our love is eternal like our Father’s above
He has gifted us beyond and beyond and beyond
Time has no power over our precious gift
He cringes in its presence as our love lifts
Those around who are able to clearly see
How God’s purpose has worked in you and me
So even though my heart is torn
The tears blur my eyes and I am worn
I feel our infinite love still and know it will get me home
Where God will unite you and I my love, again, into one.
