Faculty Dental Office Patricia Valenzuela, dental assistant, has been hired for the Faculty Dental Office to cover for Deanna Higgins-Underwood who is on maternity leave. Deanna is expecting her first baby in October. Faculty Dental Office also welcomes three temporary dental insurance specialists: Becky Jacobsson, Irma Kallstrom, and Susan Perez. International Dentist Program Lale Khankichi-Zade, a Seventh-day Adventist dentist from the Moscow Adventist Health Center, has joined the International Dentist Program as a new, six-month student. IDP staff are happy to welcome her to the program. Implant Dentistry Clinic Crystal Simental has been hired as a dental assistant for Implant Dentistry Clinic. Crystal did her clinical rotation for dental assisting with the Oral Implantology Department this past year. Births Congratulations to Alysia Theorodorou-Jennings, DH '94, and her husband Brad on the birth of their son, Nicholas, on August 25 at 8:30 a.m. At birth, Nicholas weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces, and was 19.5 inches tall.
