Parking update…

The exit from the dental patient parking lot is being widened to make leaving the parking lot easier. Many patients have found that making the right turn onto Taylor Street can be difficult. The new widened exit should be finished the first week of October. The need for patients to find a convenient parking place is essential if we want them to come to our clinics.

Dental patients have first priority to our parking lot. Faculty, staff, and students with current handicap stickers may also park, preferably in such designated spaces. The gate guard will ask to see the handicap stickers to verify that they are current.It is also permissible to park for a limited time in specially designated parking spaces using Special Permits obtainable from the dental maintenance office and from the dean’s office. These are for specified purposes and the sticker must be visible on the car’s dashboard. These special parking spaces are located in the area opposite the loading dock (east side of the school) and along the area north of the Power Plant.

In order to make sure that we continue to have adequate parking for our patients, University Security has been asked to identify and remove or fine illegally parked cars. ú

As a way to cut processing costs, accounting is asking that we no longer submit expense reports for amounts under $25. If you have School-related expenses under $25, seek reimbursement from your department’s petty cash. If your department does not have a petty cash fund, take approved receipts to Dental Supply and they will reimburse you from their petty cash fund.
