• Kiyotaka Umezu, DDS, third-year resident, implant dentistry, attended and presented a research poster during the 32nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Oral Implantology September 20th to 22nd, in Hiroshima, Japan. The poster was titled “Management of Partially Edentulous Site for Peri-implant Esthetics.” |

• William Heisler, SD’59, professor, International Dentist Program, is a new grandfather. Baby Madeline Claire was born August 10, 2002, to Susan (SAPH’86, SPHMA’99) and Nathan Lewis, SD’80, in Reno, Nevada. |
Oral Diagnosis, Radiology and Pathology

• Ron Crudo, DMD, FAGD, has
joined the faculty in oral diagnosis, radiology, and pathology. Dr. Crudo is a graduate of University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and did postgraduate studies in clinical oral pathology in The New York Institute of Clinical Oral Pathology, New York Hospital, Cornell University Medical Center. He has practiced dentistry for 29 years, most recently for 15 years in Pennsylvania. |
