School of Dentistry holds orientation for new students

William Hooker, PhD, MFCC, associate dean for student affairs, visits with new students during the pool party.	The pool party, held at the Drayson Center, was a great success.

Charles Goodacre, SD’71, MSD, dean, welcomes the students on their first day.	Keith Golay, PhD, an educational psychologist and author, presents “Understanding Your Learning Style.”

Ron Dailey, PhD, associate dean for academic affairs, reviews school policies and procedures.	New students begin their first day of orientation in Prince Hall.

Leslie Pollard, DMin, vice chancellor for diversity, speaks about relating constructively and appreciating those who come from backgrounds different than our own.	Kathleen Moore, MHIS, director, alumni association, assists students as they sign up for the Century Club. The students were given three instructional CDs, and enjoyed juice and cookies.

Rhonda Hamerslough, instructor, dental hygiene, teaches the new students the proper way to brush and floss.	Kris Wilkins, DH’80, interim chair, dental hygiene, greets the incoming students.
