School of Dentistry flies flags
in remembrance of September 11

Just one year ago, our world was shaken by the horrific terrorist attack against humanity in New York City, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C. During this period of reflection, we extend our sympathy and prayer for those families, friends and loved ones devastated by these senseless acts. We acknowledge those who risked their lives to lead so many in peril to safety—and honor the ultimate acts of heroism by those who sacrificed their lives to save others.

To mark the one-year anniversary, flags were flown across campus, and many employees, students, and visitors dressed in red, white, and blue.

The community was invited to memorial services in the Loma Linda University Church. Memorial services were also held at LLUMC, and LLUCH.

Among the many flags flown in the dental school on September 11 were two 12-foot by 18-foot flags adorning Prince Hall, and a flag in the Prince Hall Lobby.
