Awards given for best two photographs in each category from student entries. Awards given for best two photographs in each category from faculty/staff entries. Rules - Contest is limited to LLUSD students, faculty, and staff only. - Contest judges not eligible. - There is a 10 photo entry limit per person per category. - Contest submission deadline: November 19, 1999. - Winners notified December 3, 1999. - Submit photograph entries to the LLUSD Office of Student Affairs. - All categories are open to both color and black & white photograph slides and prints. - Photographs judged on sharpness and category representation. - Digitally altered photographs excluded from contest in all categories except for Humor & Imagination and Digital Imaging categories. - Entries are free. - Your photographs will be available for pickup in February 2000, at the LLUSD Office of Student Affairs. - Photographs will be judged by a panel of five judges. - Judge names will remain anonymous. - Photographer names will remain unknown to judges until end of contest. - Please submit your name, photograph category, and whether you are a student, faculty, or staff member, with photograph. Winning photographs will be displayed on the LLU campus and placed in this year's SD SHOWCASE poster.
Five hundred students, staff, and faculty chomped on grinder sandwiches, vegetables, chips, cookies, and soda at noon on September 9, when the School of Dentistry administration provided lunch and entertainment in celebration of the end of summer.
Fever, chills, cough, runny nose, queasiness, aching joints, have-to-get-better-to-die? Oi vei, you need some chicken soup! (Or a flu shot, in time, could avert the whole thing.) Flu shots will be offered again this year to faculty and staff, at no charge, in the oral surgery sterilization area on the following dates: Wednesday, Oct. 27, 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Medical-Dental Society to meet at Mammoth The 44th Annual Medical-Dental Meeting will be held in Mammoth Lakes, California, January 15 - 17, 2000. Medical and dental students, faculty, alumni, and all their families will join in worship, a pizza party, a banquet, and skiing or other winter sports. With an average annual snowfall of 383 inches, Mammoth Mountain has hosted prestigious events such as the US Snowboarding Nationals, Alpine World Cup racing events, and various NORBA and UCI World Cup mountain bike competitions and is strongly influenced by the snow, skate and surf culture of Southern California. LETTERS Dear Christy, I think the current Dentalgram (September 1999) looks at least as good as any of the others and just seems to be getting better. Great layout and copy material.
