Dental and medical students involved in automobile accident

Saturday evening, August 24, Matthew Chun and Brian Sohn,
both second-year dental students, along with two medical student friends
were returning from Forest Falls when they were involved in a traffic
accident. Matthew sustained serious head injuries and was airlifted to
Arrowhead Medical Center where he fought for his life until 6:30 p.m.
Sunday, August 25. Brian and the two medical students also sustained significant
but non-life threatening injuries.
It is at times like these that we must draw together as not just as a
school, but also a family, to support the students involved, their families,
and each other. Please keep the Chun family in your prayers. The loss
of a child is one of life’s greatest sorrows. When it is someone
of the quality of Matthew Chun, it is a real tragedy for us all. The School
held a prayer service on Monday, August 26. Family and friends remembered
Matthew in a memorial service August 27 in the Korean Adventist Church
in Grand Terrace, and his funeral was held Thursday morning, August 29.
